Changes to Syllabus - updated October 2019

Please note that requirements for classes leading to provincial/national competitions have been changed significantly. If you are registering for individual or group classes eligible for provincial/national competitions please read the updated information carefully.

Also - starting this year (2020) instrumental ensembles/bands will be eligible for provincial/national competitions.

Individual students and ensembles/choirs/bands competing for Rose Bowls should review revised eligibility requirements for the  2020 Kiwanis Music Festival at the local level.

​Great News from the National Music Festival (FMCF) 2019
​
Congratulations to the representatives of NL at the FCMF National Music Festival 2019. Holy Heart choirs placed first in Canada in two classes.  Holy Heart Madrigal Choir won the overall National Grand Choral Award. Individual performers Yanet Campbell (violin), Ben Diamond (guitar), Mackenzie Drover (musical theatre) and Rachel Bradbury (percussion) placed second in their categories and were awarded $1000 each for their performances. Other representatives of the province included the Celeste Choir (Carbonear), Stephen Eckert (piano) and Collin Mackey (voice). Bravo.
